La Reverie Workshop started as a daydream, a conversation between two friends who sincerely wanted to help others. To create an experience for those whose shoes we had been in just several years ago, where we could be an open book; sharing our failures, our successes, our struggles, and anything else that could help our attendees follow the path that will work for them! From that first conversation, Steph of Gray Door Photography and I felt pushed to bring this vision to life, and I am so very grateful that we did! We are beyond honored and humbled by the twelve attendees who traveled to us from seven different states to come together and grow in friendship and community, while taking away insight from both the speakers and each other to pour into their lives and businesses. The talent that filled The White Sparrow was nothing short of magical for those two days. To say we are thankful for the sponsors who believed in our mission of educating through a community centered educational experience, to the vendors who created incredibly beautiful work for our attendees to capture, is an understatement.
When I left my full time teaching job to focus on my photography business full time, part of my heart was aching; not because I had any hesitations about this business of mine that I love so dearly, but because for so long being a educator was so much of my identity that I wasn’t sure if I could still be me without it! Well, I never imagined that just over a year after letting go of that part of my life, I would be back standing in front of a group of incredible people speaking about the things that I am so passionate about and hoping to help them in their own journey! After the first few minutes of working with these amazing women, it felt like I was right back in my classroom and I felt like I had come home.
A huge thank you to every single vendor and sponsor involved, as well as a special thanks to Sarah of Sarah Ann Design who was not only a sponsor and vendor, but also guest speaker and over all behind-the-scenes hero! And to Steph, a special note of gratitude- thank you for being my partner in this mission to give others what they need to take their lives and businesses in the direction of their dreams flourish! Your encouragement to them is beautiful!
