i believe your business can be as purposeful as it is profitable

Why? I’ve seen it work. If you’re here, chances are you have a passion and a purpose much bigger than income goals (although hey—financial security is important too). Chances are, you have a heart for others and a passion to serve. You love connecting with people. You love forming real relationships. You want your work to impact and inspire.

Let me tell you what I’ve learned:

the sweet spot in business is where heart outpaces hustle.

Let's lean into that philosophy to find out where you can grow YOUR business!

I believe you can run a heartfelt and profitable business, by building connections that mean so much more than income ever will.

I don’t have all the answers (wouldn’t that be nice!), but I’ve learned a lot along the way and I’m an open book. As a former high school teacher, I have a huge heart for educating others. I’m not afraid to dig into tough topics or share my experiences—the good and the bad. I want you to feel confident in your ability to make a difference and make a living doing what you love.

Whether you’re just starting out as a new photographer, or you’re seeking that next level in your creative business… I’m here to encourage you, lift you up, give you my honest advice, and equip you with the resources and support you need to achieve your goals.

Let’s dive in!

"I had the pleasure of attending a workshop that Laylee put together, and it really propelled my business forward. She is so sweet and full of energy that you just could not help but feed off her positivity. I thought I had a good handle on my business going into the workshop, but I left feeling enlightened and with a new group of friends who share similar passions. Her workshop was truly one of the highlights of my 2017, and I would not hesitate to participate in any of her future offerings."

"To know Laylee is to have an instant friend! Not just a sweet new friend, but the realist, most genuine and relatable soul sister that feels like you’ve known her for years! After experiencing The LEP Workshop I left with more than just beautiful portfolio pictures. Laylee instilled confidence, dropped practical + applicable education, and left me feeling inspired. I couldn’t be more grateful for her encouragement, friendship and keep it real-ness!

"Last fall I attended Laylee’s La Reverie Workshop. I was hoping to pick up a few small tidbits of helpful information for my photography business, but I left with pages and pages of ideas and inspiration. I cannot tell you how inspired I was by Laylee. She was so organized, willing to answer any questions we had, and wise. Her love for photography and people truly shines through. I left that workshop with tangible ways to make better use of my time, new ideas for posing, and improved social media strategies. I will forever be grateful for this workshop!

"I am so thankful that I invested in education with Laylee! Not only did I receive guidance and valuable education to grow my business, but just as importantly, I received a friend. Her passion for teaching and for genuine community radiates from her! After attending her workshop, one of my images from the styled shoot landed me a finalist ranking in the Shoot and Share photo contest - my highest placing image to date! Another win was booking an ‘ideal bride’ for the next year. If you have the opportunity to attend a workshop, retreat or mentoring session - do it!

How to teach: my guide to effective education

We usually don't recognize the warning signs until it's too late. How can you identify burnout early enough to regain balance and refuel your fire?

Setting schedule boundaries helps us serve clients in our most efficient way—and it helps us avoid the temptation to overwork, overstress, and burn out.

As a former teacher now living in the creative industry, I see it all too often: people want to share knowledge and educate others... but they're missing one key piece of the puzzle: how to teach!

Think we might be a good fit? I'd love to hear from you!
