This year has been an interesting transition out of teaching dance full time to running a photography business full time…and choreographing on the side! I was so worried that I would somehow feel unfulfilled, as my goal has always been to help others grow and find their great accomplishments- but I am so happy that this year has actually played out much differently. In fact, I have been so lucky to work with even more incredible young people, choreographing for 7 different dance teams, many individual dancers, and to top it all off mentoring amazing up and coming photographers as well!
That being said, when I went to support some of the amazing girls I have had the opportunity of working with this year, I took my camera and had so much fun capturing these dancers in a photographic style that is so different than my norm! A black stage with a black curtain, for a girl who lives for light and bright colors?! Surprisingly… It. Was. Awesome!
Here are a few of my favorite images from the Royale soloists at their contest this past weekend!
