What are your pet peeves when it comes to creative educators? (2:59)
1. I’m not a fan of when educators take credit or responsibility for the victory or success of their students.
When this happens:When educators use the success of students to market to other potential students. This is chipping away at the victory of the student.
How to remedy:Request testimonials for your students and use them in the appropriate time.
2. Educators who air their dirty laundry publicly.
How to remedy:Handle situations with tact. If you want to make it a teachable moment, take the emotion out of it.

What to do: 1. Be very clear and specific on what you want to talk about. 2. Put in the time to select the right fit for your applications and do your research.
What NOT to do: 1. Do not just slide into the DMs on social or in person to directly pitch yourself. (You can ask about the application process.) 2. Do not get discouraged by a “no.”
